Panel preparation meetings - Matt Ostler - 22/1/2009
The governors convened tonight to prepare key issues that would be presented to the visiting panel due to be at the school within the next couple of weeks. Lots of areas were identified as key links to support the councils proposal that Nettlestone continues and develops as a full primary school for the East Wight area. The next stage is to work out how best to present these. This will be done throughout the course of the week 26th to 30th January.

There will be parents meeting on Monday the 26th January at the school in order to do the same exercise but from a parental perspective. Eight parents have confirmed that they can make it. If you would like to come along please contact Karen Stant, the clerk to the governors, or the main school office.

The governors would like to urge parents to write in their own thoughts about why they chose to send their children to the school, why they would like the school to continue, and what their feelings are about the continuing existance of the school. Ideally these should be sumbitted for Mon 26th in preparation for the meeting of the parents goup. If you miss this 'deadline' please still submit your contribution becauase they will all serve to help the panel see why the councils' propsal is sound; That Nettlestone Primary continues to play a key role in education for the East Wight area.
