Friends of Nettlestone School

Our school has an active Friends' Association which holds a number of social and fund-raising events throughout the year to improve the quality of provision for the pupils of Nettlestone Primary School. All parents of children at Nettlestone School are automatically members. Through the efforts of the Association we have been able to purchase a wide variety of audio and visual aids, library books, curtains, the adventure playground, new staging and books for the children who leave us at the end of their fifth year. At present the Friends are raising money to help us pay for an new I.C.T. suite which will be installed when the new classrooms are built later this year. Funds raised, also provide a Christmas Party with entertainment and presents for the children. Many "new" parents find that involvement with Association activities an excellent way of making friends and becoming involved in the life of the school.
