School meals

School meals are cooked on the premises. The school works hard with the cook to ensure that meals meet current government guidelines and nutritional standards. School meals cost £1.55 daily. Children are asked to bring the correct money for the week's dinners in a named purse or envelope on the first day of the week. Special Dinner envelopes are available for purchase from the school office. You may also pay half-termly for school dinners if you wish; details can be obtained from the school secretary. Late arrival of payment or incorrect amount does cause a lot of inconvenience! Packed lunches may be brought to school. The school provides seating and supervision for the children who bring packed lunches. Children are entitled to free school meals if their Parent's income is below a certain level. Contact the Secretary or the County Education Officer if you require further details. Applications are confidential.

Each Friday 4 children are chosen as "diners of the week" in recognition of their good behaviour at lunch time during the previous week. They invite a friend to join them on a special "diners of the week" table, which has a tablecloth and special plates and cutlery for them to use. We also make an award for "healthy lunch box of the week" at celebration assembly.
