Transfer to middle school

Children normally transfer to Middle School at the beginning of Year 5. If your child is due to transfer to Middle School you will receive an application form from County which will have to be returned to them by the 31st of January. You can state the preference for up to two Middle schools. All Middle Schools hold Open Evenings during the Autumn term, and we strongly advise you to attend as many of these as you can. You will be notified of the result of your application by early March. Children in year 4 visit their chosen Middle School during the Summer Term and are visited by teachers from the Middle Schools on a number of occasions.
